Access levels

This is a required field.

Access is a required field that specifies the access level for the report. There are three access levels available:

  • Open: Any logged-in Jira user can view the report. Only administrators can change report settings.
  • Limited: Only specified users or groups can view the report. Only administrators can change report settings.
  • Private: Only administrators can view the report or change report settings.

By default, new reports are set to Private.

To change the access level, open the dropdown menu and select the access level you want.

Report access vs. data access

warning

The settings described above determine who can access the report, but they do not determine who can access the report's data.

One of the core principles of Limbr Reports' security and privacy model is that Jira's native permissions are always respected. For example, a report might be configured with a specific project as it's data source. Even if the report is set to Open access, a user viewing the report will only see the project's issues reflected in the report if they also have the Jira permissions necessary to view the project's issues.
